Links, Expiry & Burn
Custom slugs, auto-expiry, burn-after-read and anonymous uploads.
Every upload gets a random short link by default. These options let you shape it before you hit upload.
Custom links
Type a name in the Custom link field and your file lands on i.thugg.lol/that-name instead of a random string. Availability is checked as you type.
- Letters, numbers, dashes and underscores.
- 3 to 32 characters.
- Applies to the first file when you upload several at once.

Random link length
Under Settings you can set how long the generated names are — anywhere from 4 to 24 characters. Shorter looks tidier; longer is harder to guess.
Expiry
Pick how long a file lives. Options are Never, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. You can also set a default expiry for everything you upload.
- The tile shows a badge with the time left.
- When it expires the file is deleted and the link stops resolving.
Burn after read
Turn Burn on and the file deletes itself after the first view. Useful for a one-off screenshot you do not want sitting on a CDN.
Note
A Discord link preview counts as a view. Paste burn links where they will not be unfurled automatically.
Anonymous uploads
With anonymous uploads on, the link and its embed never mention your username. The file still belongs to your account and still counts against your quota.
Hiding the extension
Hide File Extension drops the .png or .mp4 from the link. The file still serves with the right content type — only the URL looks cleaner.
