Uploads & Storage
Your own image host — drop a file in, get a short i.thugg.lol link out.
Uploads is a file host tied to your account. Drop something in and you get a short i.thugg.lol link that unfurls as a rich embed in Discord.
Image hosting needs Pro. Pro includes 2 GB, and the storage add-on raises that to 50 GB for $7 a year.
Uploading a file
- 1Open Uploads in the dashboard.
- 2Drop files on the upload zone, or click it to pick them.
- 3The link is copied for you as soon as the upload finishes.
What you can upload
- Images — PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF.
- Video — MP4, WEBM, MOV, MKV.
- Audio — MP3, FLAC, WAV, M4A, OGG.
- Documents — PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, CSV.
- Archives and installers — ZIP, 7Z, RAR, GZ, TAR, EXE, MSI, APK.
Up to 100 MB per file. Archives, installers and documents are scanned by VirusTotal before they go live, with a 32 MB limit on that group.
Virus scanning
Anything executable or packed is checked before it is published. Nothing is served until the scan comes back clean, and every scanned file keeps a report you can open from its tile.
Note
A file that fails the scan is rejected outright. You will see the report explaining which engines flagged it.
Storage and quota
- Free accounts have no quota — image hosting is off.
- Pro includes 2 GB.
- The storage add-on adds 50 GB for a year, on top of Pro's 2 GB.
What happens on expiry
When the add-on lapses your files stay where they are. Only new uploads pause until you renew.
Folders
Folders keep the grid readable once you have a few hundred files.
- Create a folder with its own icon and colour.
- Drag a file onto a folder chip to move it.
- Click a chip to filter the grid.
- Deleting a folder keeps the files — they just become unsorted.
Deleting files
Deleting a file frees the space immediately and its link stops resolving.
Note
Every link you already shared breaks, including embeds in old Discord messages. There is no undo.
